1. Choose the Right Pansy Colors
One of the best things about pansies is their dazzling variety of colors. We carry a variety of colors from deep purples and bold blues to warm oranges, yellows, and even multicolored blooms, there’s a pansy for every autumn palette and even transitional colors as we move past fall into winter.
For a traditional fall look, mix warm hues like gold and burgundy with deep purple and white pansies. If you prefer something a little more unique, opt for cool shades like blues and lavenders paired with bright yellow accents.
2. Pair Pansies with Other Fall Favorites
Pansies look fantastic when paired with plants like ornamental kale, which offers textured, ruffled leaves that contrast beautifully with pansies’ delicate petals. Add in some grasses like ornamental fountain grass for height and texture, or tuck pansies into container gardens alongside mums and/or pumpkins for a pop of color.
Companion Ideas: Try combining purple pansies with silvery dusty miller for an elegant, frosty fall look or orange pansies with yellow mums for a cheerful autumn display. See our Raise a Glass to Fall: Seasonal Garden Containers blog for more fall container ideas.
