Due to the warm winter we’ve had in Hampton Roads, the bugs are expected to be a nuisance this summer. Try treating your lawn to not only make your outdoors more enjoyable for your family but to keep your pets safe too.

Bug Blaster is the perfect solution to fight ants, fire ants, fleas, ticks, crickets, chinch bugs and many others. Available as either a granule or a ready to use hose-end, this product will provide a broad spectrum of control. We suggest using the product on lawns, landscapes, and perimeters around homes and buildings.

Available as both a granule and a hose end, this product will help control pests. To use the granules, simply pull out your spreader and apply all around the perimeter. Check the bag for application rates and watering rates for specific insects. Be sure to wash your hands after each use. To use the hose end, simply hook it up to your outdoor hose and start spraying the area that you would like to treat. Be sure to walk backwards away from the sprayed area when applying. Let the area dry 24 hours before pets and children enter the treated space.

Looking for an organic solution, there are several options to help beat the bugs. We recommend:

Natural Guard Lawn Shield - is the invisible cedar fence that repels nuisance insects including; mosquitoes, ants, and fleas. Use it, in flowerbeds, vegetable gardens and lawns. Made with cedar oil it has a pleasant scent. Safe to use around children and pets when used as directed.

Bonide Mosquito Beater – is comprised of geranium oil, cedar oil, and lemongrass oil all together for a pleasant scent. This all natural, residual formula repels mosquitoes, gnats, flies and other nuisance insects for up to 2 weeks. Great for lawns, patios, gardens, barns or any outdoor area.

Citronella Geranium – Surrounding your patio or deck with containers of these lemony-scented geraniums will keep those noxious insects away that don’t care for that pleasing aroma.
