The Top 3 Ways to Flower Bomb Mom this Mother’s Day
We all want to do the most for that person in our lives that we call “Mom”. Finding something special can be difficult after years of giving Mother’s Day gifts. That is why we are here to help! A great way to give mom some intense annual color is to give her a container handmade by you! There are a wide variety of annuals that you can add to containers. A good rule of thumb that we follow here at our garden centers is the “Thriller, Filler, Spiller” method.
- Thriller – a plant that usually adds some height and can provide pizzazz to your container garden.
- Filler – a plant that fills up the container just above the rim of the pot.
- Spiller – a plant that trails over the side of your container.
Make sure you are pairing plants that have the same watering and sun requirements so that Mom’s container can be successful over the season.
