Attention Hampton Roads! It’s fall y’all and there are lots of awesome events going on at the garden center these next few fabulous months.

We always know that we should be mulching, especially when preparing for the next season of gardening, but why? Mulching is not the most glamorous aspect of gardening, but it is essential to keep your plants looking and feeling their best. 

What is Mulch? 

Giving your lawn the TLC it needs doesn’t have to be a hassle. Prepping your lawn for fall can be simple, as long as you have the right tools for the job. We have collected some of our favorite solutions to making your lawn the best it can possibly be, even at the height of the warm season.

During the hottest times of the year, it is sometimes difficult to keep your garden happy and healthy. Extra high temperatures can cause stress on your plants, which can lead to other problems, like pests and disease. To avoid these issues, your plants just need a little more TLC in the summer, and we are here to help make that happen. 

5. Keep an Eye Out for Pests and Disease

Every once in a while, when you are watering your plants, you may notice one of them is really struggling. But why is it struggling? You water it on the right schedule, it’s in the best light spot, it is pest free, and it has been doing so well for so long…what happened?! This is when your plant might be ready for a repot. Some plants, depending on the kind, can go a very long time without needing to be repotted. Plants like snake plants, cacti, and zz plants can go years without needing to be repotted.
